Event Description
3rd ANNUAL "KENYA DIG IT?" 5K RUN/WALK
Race Information:
Please arrive at the SDFC fields at 8am in order to pick up your packet and shirt, sign your waiver, and have time to visit our Kenya project booth and our sponsor booths.
Refreshments will be provided after the race and a water station will be located along the course. As the course winds through the entire campus, it will be well marked with cones and arrows and we will have a few volunteers making sure that you stay on track. We will even have a lead bicycle.
Free parking is available in either the Apache Blvd Parking Structure or the Rural Rd Parking Structure. To park in the Apache Blvd Parking Structure, turn north onto Normal Ave (between Mill Ave and Rural Rd) from Apache Blvd and the entrance will be directly west. To park in the Rural Rd Parking Structure, turn west off of Rural Rd onto E Lemon St and the entrance will be on the north side of the street. Both of the parking garages can be entered through the entrances labeled Decal, the gates will be up.
Age group award medals will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers. The awarded finishers will be entered into a raffle for RoadID gift cards and a grand prize $50 Visa gift card. The age groups are:
- 11 and under
- 12 to 17
- 18 to 25
- 26 to 29
- 30 to 39
- 40 to 49
- 50 to 59
- 60 and over
